Website privacy notice
This notice covers the shopcam.ca website: the pages you are reading and the contact form on it. It does not cover the ShopCam app.
No cookies, no analytics
The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising code. Its pages, fonts and images are all served from shopcam.ca.
What the form collects
- Contact form: your name, work email, shop or company name, number of locations and your message.
The form also sends which form it came from and the time the page was opened, which help us sort messages and filter out spam.
What happens to what you send
When you press the button, your details are sent as an email to our inbox, [email protected], through Postmark, an email delivery service based in the United States. We use them only to reply to you.
If your internet connection fails while you send the form, it offers to open your own email program with your details filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. If our server replies with an error, the form shows our email address instead, without your details.
Postmark keeps a copy of each email for 45 days and then deletes it. We keep the emails in our inbox until you ask us to delete them.
Website hosting and logs
The website runs on DigitalOcean App Platform. Like any web host, DigitalOcean and its content delivery network handle your IP address to deliver the pages to you. We do not keep logs of who visits the website, and the hosting does not give us a list of visitors. The code that sends the form records only an error code when an email fails to send, never what you typed.

ShopCam is operated by 1001744193 Ontario Inc. of Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, and handles personal information under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
